What is akgmag.com?

Akgmag.com is a FREE website where authors and writers can post their materials (book excerpts, press releases, articles, for hire info etc.), in order to increase their exposure on the web.

We will try to distribute anything you post on akgmag.com to as many places on the web as possible for maximum exposure, including our Twitter page!

Visitors to our site are interested in books, the Q & A interviews with authors and browse the various categories to discover new topics they might be interested in.

Our visitors also include writing students who look for inspiration in our Q & A interviews with authors and articles about writing.

At the same time akgmag.com is also a resource for publishers, webmasters, businesses and other interested parties who are looking to hire writers, artists, authors and speakers for various writing and speaking engagements.

Freelance writers:

You can submit your informative articles to gain exposure on the web and establish yourself as an expert in your field. When you create your profile, make sure to include your contact information and a link back to your website.

If you  permit your articles to be used or re-printed in any way, you'll be able to define a Creative Commons License for each article you submit. 

You can further use akgmag.com to promote your services for free by submitting your info under one of the 'For Hire' categories.


Published authors:

You can submit your press releases, book excerpts, articles, poems, 'for hire' info and more. If you're a non-fiction writer, submitting articles will broaden your exposure on the web and help you establish yourself as an expert in your field.

For fiction writers, submitting articles can be an opportunity to share writing tips, how to get ideas for books and stories and more. Allowing others to use your articles (with attribution) will also help promote yourself. Please state in your profile if your materials are free to share, and/or add a Creative Commons License (you can choose a license at the bottom of the 'submit' page).

To further promote yourself,  you can submit your info as a writer or speaker 'for hire' under the appropriate categories. This is also a free service which will distribute your information across the web for broad exposure.


Publishers:

You can submit press releases, articles and book excerpts on behalf of your clients. All your submissions will automatically be added to our feeds and appear on Twitter.

You can also search the site for articles and 'writers for hire' under the 'For Hire' categories.


Webmasters and e-zine editors:

If you need content for your website or ezine, you can browse through our 'For Hire - Writers' category to find writers who write about the topic you need. You can also browse through already existing articles on akgmag.com and contact the writers to request permission to reprint the article.

Many articles already have a Creative Commons License attached which defines how the article can be used, depending on the specific license chosen. (All Creative Commons licenses require attribution.)


Businesses, organizations and other groups:

If you're looking to hire speakers for your event, browse through our 'For Hire - Speakers' category. You'll find professionals who are usually also published authors and are available for speaking engagements. If you're looking for writers to write copy, speeches, content for websites etc. you can browse through our 'For Hire - Writers' category.
