Carolyn is one of the original "baby boomers" living in Vancouver, WA. where she was born.  Historically worked as a  Bookkeeper,  but later years found the need to work from home. She is an animal lover  and has cats. Wanting to help people solve problems, began her journey to  writing.  Her cats actually helped write her first book on cat behavior. She  has shared her passion many times on radio and never had more fun.

Thank you Carolyn for taking the time to answer some questions for us! Please tell us about your latest book.

My second book "Living Your Passion with Perseverance and Purpose" was published at the end of 2008, gave me the chance to help and guide others to find and live their passion.

How has your background helped you in your writing career?

I had a latent awareness of my true creativity, but experienced it in parts throughout my life.  I have always had a flair for the  dramatics and did plays in my school days.  During my working outside the home for many years, I succeeded many times to be creative in solving problems on the job; business related.

Is there any aspect to your profession that gets you in touch with your readers directly?

I did have a newsletter, but currently do not. They can always email me from my website secretsofcatattituderevealed.com and I have had calls to my home for ads in the cat magazines.  It is so bonding to talk with others and share.  Radio at times will produce a caller,  not necessarily a reader.

What will your next project be?

I am currently working on a book dedicated to my mother for her poems that were found in a journal at her passing.  She told me at one time she wanted to write for "Greeting Card" companies, so , as she did not succeed with this project, I will do it for her.

Who inspires you on a personal or business level?

Since this has been in partial, a spiritual journey, I read, listen and watch the teachings of Dr. Wayne  Dyer, or Gregg Braden.

What type of work is the most rewarding or satisfying for you?

When I am giving and helping others. I am trying to do that with my books with content that is informative and entertaining.

What can you recommend for writers who are just getting started and are trying to make a name for themselves?

Choose a topic you have some knowledge and a whole lot of passion.  This will
be conveyed and felt by readers.

How did you get started as a writer?

Having to work from home, I had to rethink what I had to give others. If I could help solve problems. ... what did I have to offer? It was one of my cats that gave me the strangest look and body language and it was as if she said " me and my brothers will help you write a book
on cat behavior; there are secrets we want to share with the world." And the book all most wrote itself.

Which is your favorite book published?

The no copycat book with the "X" factor to  solving  problems from the cat's point of view. I have never had more fun.  "Secrets of Cat Attitude Revealed"

Who is your favorite author?

Spiritual genre: Dr. Wayne Dyer/Gregg Braden Mystery genre: Joan Hess

Finally, a most important question: what was the last song you sang out loud when you were by yourself?  :)

Was  not really a song; a mantra like of :  "I am Rich Beyond My Wildest Dreams.... I am, I am, I am (One can always hope)

Thank you Carlolyn for this interview! We wish you great success with your future projects!
