Thank you Natalie for answering a few questions for us! Please tell us about your latest project.
I am currently reviewing the final edit of my book, The Sense Connection, that will be published in October 2009. It is popular psychology book that addresses partnering, parenting, friendships and work issues.
Do you also do speaking engagements, or seminars?
Yes, I have done many lectures, T.V., radio and workshops.
How has your education, profession or background helped you in your writing career? Or conversely, how has you writing success helped you in your profession?
I have introduced my sense mode theory to many of the people I have worked with which has helped me to refine my theory and has provided me with many anecdotes and examples.
Is there any aspect to your profession that gets you in touch with your readers directly?
As a psychotherapist and consultant I work with individuals, couples and groups as well as institutions and corporations.
What will your next project be?
I have a book, Color It Yummy, Expanding and Enriching Children’s Meals in the working stage.
Who inspires you on a personal or business level?
I can’t think of anything that doesn’t have the possibility of inspiring me.
What type of work is the most rewarding or satisfying for you?
All the work is fulfilling.
What can you recommend for writers who are just getting started and are trying to make a name for themselves?
I would advise any writer to write what they are passionate about.
How did you get started as a writer?
I was very excited about the sense hierarchy concept and realized its power to change relationships in a positive way. I wanted to share it with as many people as possible.
Which is your favorite book/work published? Is there a favorite?
I love books, so a favorite is hard to select. However, Diary of a Baby , by Daniel Stern is a gem.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
Since I am currently in private practice it consists primarily of seeing patients. Of course, I am writing, editing , and reviewing my manuscript at this point in time.
Have you ever had a mentor, or someone who sparked your passion for writing?
I have a very supportive family and wonderful cheerleader friends who energize my writing.
Who is your favorite writer/author?
There are too many to count.
Finally, a most important question: what was the last song you sang out loud when you were by yourself? :)
“When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are….”
Thank you Natalie! We wish you great successs with your new book The Sense Connection!
