I am a correctional officer. I live in Georgia. I do have a degree in wildlife. I am married and have two kids. I grew up in a small community of North Georgia known as  Auburn Georgia. It was country at the time I was a kid but now it isn't. I have an older sister and a twin sister. My twin also wrote as a kid. We used to  make up stories with our own characters and act out our stories as play.

Thank you Lindi for answering a few questions for us!  To start, please tell us about your series.

I have another series which I call The Chosen Ones. They are six people who discovers that they are crusaders. Crusaders are given powers to fight supernatural evil. The first story is simply call the Chosen Ones of Egypt. They discover in their past lives that they lived in ancient Egypt and were crusaders. In the present they are called on to become the Chosen Ones again. They travel to ancient Egpyt to stop a demon from destroying ancient Egypt confronting the past is the only way to save the present. They are aided by their protector Ariole. He is a dead man living in a physical body. I call him the nonliving dead. He has all the powers. He seves as a protector for his crusaders as well as a guide. He is also in charge of training them to use their powers.

Do you also do speaking engagements, or seminars?

No but I would like to.

How has your education, profession or background helped you in your writing career? Or conversely, how has you writing success helped you in your  profession?

I have a wildlife degree that helps when I write about animals and I am a correctional officer so being around the inmates and hearing them talk gives me ideas on what to put into my criminal characters.

What kind of other works (books, scripts, poems etc.) have you had published?

I have two poems to be published.

What will your next project be?

The Chosen Ones

Who inspires you on a personal or business level?

My children.

What type of work is the most rewarding or satisfying for you?

When I go through the day and realise because of my actions of the day I have helped someone rather it is opening the door or in most cases the officers that I work with usually come to me to talk because they know I will not let people know their business and most of the time I don't give advice I just listen and that seams to help the person out.

What can you recommend for writers who are just getting started and are trying to make a name for themselves?

Find an agent.

How did you get started as a writer?

My twin and I every since we have been kids would make up stories and play as the characters. I actually made up the Six Pack when I was a kid. It was only when I became an adult that I started to put my stories on paper.

Which is your favorite book/work published? Is there a favorite?

I like the Chosen Ones the best only because I think it would be cool to have powers and since I can't have powers physically I choose to use my imagination to have powers.

What does a typical work day look like for you?

There is no typical work day not even on my days off because anything can happen in a prison.

Have you ever had a mentor, or someone who sparked your passion for writing?

My husband. He was the one to start reading my stories. I only wrote for fun. He enjoyed reading about the Six Pack and it was him who said that I could be a professional writer.
