How has your education, profession or background helped you in your writing career? Or conversely, how has you writing success helped you in your  profession?

When I developed The Crossing Over of Mattie Pearl my approach was to write it once so it would work for three mediums three formats - the book to be read, the CD for one to listen and the DVD for those who are visual.  Since I write scripts I was able to utilize my experience with developing copy, etc...to write the Mattie Pearl project once for three mediums.

Is there any aspect to your profession that gets you in touch with your readers directly?

Potentially via my Global Internet Radio program - onlinewithandrea.

What will your next project be?

I am in the process of writing a play and various other projects.

Who inspires you on a personal or business level?

There are many.

What type of work is the most rewarding or satisfying for you?

I enjoy working on multi-dimensional projects that make a positive Global impact.

What can you recommend for writers who are just getting started and are trying to make a name for themselves?

Keep writing and stay centered in the heart. The more you write, the better you will become.

How did you get started as a writer?

I have been writing since I was a child.  I wrote my first poem in 3rd grade.

Which is your favorite book/work published? Is there a favorite?

There are too many to name one.

What does a typical work day look like for you?

Very busy...very hectic.  There are not enough hours in a day for my work.

Have you ever had a mentor, or someone who sparked your passion for writing?

I have had mentors...but never one for writing.

Who is your favorite writer/author?

Too many to single out one.

Finally, a most important question: what was the last song you sang out loud when you were by yourself?  :)
